10am - 11am - Grand Parade down Burgundy Street Heidelberg
11am - 4pm - Kids ArtyFarty Fest at Sills Bend
Sills Bend - Warringal Parklands
The Kids ArtyFarty Fest is a magnificent event that gives kids the opportunity to experience and explore arts practice in all its various forms. Activities, workshops, food, performances, storytelling, games and more... all set in a quiet patch of bushland alongside the Yarra River.
The Festival kicks off with the Grand Parade, marching down Burgundy Street Heidelberg, and continues with a day of creativity and entertainment in the park at Sills Bend. Face Paint by Children - Calling all children! This is an ingenious idea by artist Dan Goronszy, which will come to life at our festival, where you (children) get to paint unique, one-off artworks on your adults, siblings, cousins, friends and even yourself. We can't wait to see how your artworks amaze onlookers as they walk around enjoying the festival!
This is Me, Bunting - another project by Dan Goronszy, will figuratively and literally join together the creative talents of the attendees at the festival, responding to the festival theme of 'Identity - Celebrating Who We Are'. Each individual has the opportunity to create their own decorative flags, which will be sewn together throughout the festival to form a striking display, representing the breadth of the community at the conclusion of the festival.
Parking is limited for both the parade and festival. For the festival, please take note of parking signage.
