Access and Inclusion at 2017 Carols by Candlelight
We are committed to providing events that are accessible and inclusive to Banyule’s diverse community. Providing good accessibility at outdoor events can be challenging but we have tried to provide features to make the event more accessible. The following map provides details of the layout of the venue.
Audio hearing Loop – To assist those with hearing aids or limited hearing.
Toilets – Two accessible toilets are available on site.
Car drop off zone – To assist those with limited mobility that may be dropped off at the site.
Parking – Please note there is limited designated accessible parking on site. One space is provided on Lower Heidelberg Road. Regular on street parking is available in nearby streets.
Accessible seating areas – Access onto the oval is limited due to a steep slope however seating areas on flatter ground is available near the Lower Heidelberg Road entrance. This is not allocated or reserved so people are encouraged to arrive early to secure an ideal spot.
Hearing protection - Hearing protection will be available to loan for free from the customer service tent. Ear plugs are available also.
