The Community Support and Liaison Officer works with agencies, families and community groups and co-ordinates activities such as:
- usage of buildings by non-profit community groups
- support of community based agencies/groups
- referral for emergency relief
- Banyule Festival
- Children's Week activities
- Child Protection week
The Community Support and Liaison Officer also co-ordinates the Christmas Toys for Tots Campaign and Christmas/New Year Children's Holiday Camps Campaign that are specifically run for children from disadvantaged families who reside in Banyule. These children are referred by the appropriate agencies.
