Schools

Council is committed to the achievement of sustainability in its own operations and to encouraging sustainability in our community.  To support sustainability in schools we offer a range of resources that cover waste minimisation, biodiversity, energy use reduction and improvement of water quality.

Banyule Nillumbik Teachers Environment Network (TEN)

Banyule and Nillumbik Councils are providing a forum for teachers to support environmental education in our local schools. The purpose of the network is to:

  • Support teachers in delivering integrated sustainability curriculum relevant to the local area.
  • Provide an opportunity for teachers to share knowledge, experiences and skills.
  • Connect Council's goals and teacher's goals.
  • Promote the Sustainable Schools program.

To register for the email network or receive copies of previous meeting minutes and attachments, contact Belinda Moody belinda.moody@banyule.vic.gov.au.
