Council hosts a citizenship ceremony every three months for Banyule residents on behalf of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA).

Applications for Citizenship are made to DIMIA. Once the department has assessed and approved the application, the list of candidates is sent to Banyule City Council for the ceremony and presentation of citizenship certificates.

For further information and applications on becoming an Australian Citizen please call the DIMIA on 131 880 or visit www.citizenship.gov.au
