The Bellfield pound does not have any credit card or Eftpos facilities. Please bring correct money as change cannot be given.

All animals must be currently registered with their municipality before animal can be released.  Proof of current registration must be provided.

Dogs that live in Banyule that have been impounded by rangers and are not registered can be registered at the pound.

We also have a Pound at 304 Yan Yean Road, Plenty. Melways reference 11 D1. Opening hours 8:00am to 11:00am everyday including public holidays.

Please check the Nilliumbik Shire Council website to view dogs that have been impounded by Banyule Rangers that are being held at the Plenty pound.

All cats that the rangers impound are taken to cat protection society at 200 Elder Street, Greensborough. Opening hours 10.00am to 4.00pm
