Organisational Structure

Chief Executive Officer

At Banyule the Chief Executive Officer is the most senior officer of all the staff.  Although each member of staff has different responsibilities, the Chief Executive Officer is ultimately responsible for the performance of all staff.

 Council’s Chief Executive Officer is generally responsible for:- 
1. ensuring that the decisions of Council are implemented without undue delay; 
2. ensuring that the day to day management of Council operations is in accordance with the Council’s City Plan; 
3. providing timely advice;
4. appointing, directing and dismissing Council staff; and 
5. ensuring that staff are appointed in accordance with the Council organisational structure.
