Banyule Mayor, Cr Tom Melican has expressed his sympathy for all of those people who have lost loved ones, property and belongings in the bushfire disaster that has devastated Victoria.
Cr Melican has also asked the residents of Banyule to band together and support the people who have been affected by donating money to assist people who have suffered a tremendous loss.
"In the midst of this terrible fire I am appealing to the people of Banyule to open their hearts and pockets to help their fellow Victorians who have been overwhelmed by this fire. The terrible loss of life and property will be felt for some time and anything people can do to help will be greatly appreciated," Cr Melican said.
