Outside School Hours Care in Banyule

There are approximately 27 sites/ schools that offer Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) operating in the City of Banyule.  Most offer both before and after school care, individual information can be obtained from each service (see details below).   These Programs offer children the opportunity to mix and socialise with others their own age in a safe, stimulating and familiar environment.  OSHC can be accessed by working or studying parents/guardians who have school aged children.  The programs operate under the commonwealth government guidelines for OSHC and as such are eligible for Childcare Benefit.  For further information regarding Childcare Benefit please call the Family Assistance Office on 136150.

Program Information for Vacation Care

There are six school holiday/vacation care programs in the City of Banyule.  Vacation Care provides care to primary school-aged children during school holiday periods throughout the year. The programs offer an opportunity for children to have great fun and socialize amongst others their own age.   

Vacation Care is ideal for parents and carers who are working, studying or looking for something engaging for their children to participate in.  The programs operate under the Commonwealth Government's Child Care Benefit Scheme and are open to all eligible children.  Programs will vary from different locations to include children’s interests and abilities. 

If your child has any additional needs please advise the program co-ordinator at the time of enrolment.  Vacation Care programs receive Commonwealth Government funding and as such are eligible for assistance from the Inclusion Support Program.
