Sheffields Lane, Heidelberg - Streetscape Works 2008

Council’s Engineering Services Team looks after traffic safety, road improvements and drainage in Banyule.  The main responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation of detailed designs for roads, traffic treatments, streetscapes, drainage improvements, carparks, bridges and other civil works.
  2. Traffic safety, including investigating traffic and parking issues raised by the community and the preparation of traffic treatment proposals (eg roundabouts)
  3. Checking plans submitted by developers for subdivisions and unit developments to ensure the civil works are designed properly.
  4. Drainage and flooding, including investigating drainage issues raised by the community and preparation of drainage improvement proposals.
