Ivanhoe Aquatic & Fitness Centre

IAFC was originally built to house the training pool for the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games swimmers. 

Today we train the next generation of swimmers in our 25 metre indoor heated pool, learners and toddler pool. Our Aquatic Education Program is overseen by Austswim qualified Aquatic Education Teachers. But you don’t have to be Thorpy to enjoy the facilities, it‘s open to everyone, of all ages and abilities. The spa and sauna offer the perfect way to relax.

Our modern gymnasium provides members with an extensive range of the latest fitness equipment.  All Gymnasium Staff are fully trained and committed to ensuring that your time spent with us is both productive and enjoyable, whilst encouraging a relaxed atmosphere in a non-intimidating environment.    For those wanting a bit of extra assistance our Personal Trainers are there to accommodate your needs.

With over sixty group exercise classes per week, including aqua aerobics, circuit classes, cycle and specifically designed older adult classes, it is easy to find something to suit your needs.

Alternatively we offer crèche facilities with occasional care, karate, children’s birthday parties, and holiday programs, all aimed to provide your children with the very best there is on offer.
